Bio

John A. Underwood was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He began writing at the age of six, and believes that after than thirty-five years he is almost good at it.

He has been a college student, cook, contract laborer, receptionist, grocery store clerk, bookstore clerk, restaurant manager, bartender, and a homeless person at different times in his life.

John attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he studied Creative Writing. He has also lived on Florida’s Gulf Coast and in Washington, D.C.

John writes science fiction and space opera. Under the name Johnson Underwood, he also writes absurd sci-fi/fantasy.

Currently, John lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with his wife Sydney and their two dogs (Layla and Zeus) and two cats (Michael and Beans). It’s a handful, but life is good.
